Are you kidding me?

I keep checking the calendar and yep, it is still March 10th today. And it is to be worse this afternoon/night! Needless to say, we aren't going anywhere today.

Some Ella in action shots~

Posting some videos we took of Ella today. She is very talkative (as you will see). Tonight she was entertained by her shadow~ had a great conversation. She loves milk and would drink on it all day long if we would let her. Here we thought it was so funny how she would just take sips on her cup and then go back to her conversation, one handed mind you. ooooo ... She is soooo funny.

And is loving to walk around at night. For some reason that is really the only time she thinks being on her feet is a pretty good deal. She just moves so fast on her knees that I think it will be a few weeks before this is the primary mode of transportation. Tonight she walked all by herself from the fireplace room to her room. It is just amazing to see her walking.

We had a great weekend with the Breuers here! Thanks to Glennis, Judy, Jeff & Sara we accomplished a ton of stuff. Feeling a bit more organized now. AND!. I am happy to report that all the walls in the upstairs of the house are all painted and finished! Just a little bit of touch up in one bathroom and I believe we will be retiring the paint brushes for a few weeks.

We are to be getting a "blizzard" here in the next couple days. I am not exactly sure what to expect when they call for a blizzard. We have milk and a stock of food so I guess we are set. The weather man on the news said that visibility will be zero. Humm... I like white and all. But all white and nothing else might be a little much for me. Jason is here all week just some dealer and customer visits. I am looking forward to having him here full time for a few weeks.

Enjoy the videos and the 70 degree temps for all of you who get them.... I am hating hearing the weather reports from up here. I am keeping my mind on the ball.... 80 degree summer days. yea.. that will be worth it!!

It's SPRING~ Oh wait still freezing temps..

It feels like spring here today!!!!! Granted it is still freezing temperatures. But I tell ya it feels GREAT! All I had to wear out today was a fleece. I ditched the big North Face today. I can't wait for this snow to be gone and get some outside work started. Jason came home last night and it is great to have him back. The days get long with him not around.

The Schwan's man came today!!! WA HO!! We have ice cream again!! Now feels like home...hehheehe.

Here are some photos of Ella and I. Jason says he doesn't have enough with me in them. I guess that is because I am always on the other side!

Have a great weekend!!
Ella LOVES her sippy cup and 'real' milk. She has learned the sign for milk and uses it all day long. Some times I have to trick her into drinking water or she would carry this cup of milk all day long. Daddy is pretty happy about her love for dairy. She and him could sit and eat cheese all day.

My new threads

We wanted to get a shot of Ella's new threads from her Gpa & Gma Breuer for her birthday. And that dang tongue!.. It comes out like that every time a camera comes out. I have a feeling this is going to be an issue in the many photos to come in her future.

Also, we are using some new reading material for the training process. It seems to be working fairly well. She has done really well this week using it! Daddy got this book for his little peanut before we knew much about her... I was only about 3 months pregnant when he was sure she had this title in her collection.

We miss everyone very much~ It was -20 when we woke up. Yeeps! But it has certainly warmed up!... now it is -1. wa ho

Waitin' on Daddy

Ella and I are just hanging out at home today waiting for Jason to return from Fargo. He has been there since Tuesday and we are just ready to have him home. Ella is all cute and ready for him to walk through the door!
Ella hasn't been feeling well this week. A temp and cough/cold. Poor thing is just kinda miserable. She hasn't had much for colds in her lifetime so she is just not real happy with life. Hopefully soon she will be to normal! She had her 1 yr check up Monday. She is doing GREAT! 50% weight and 90% height. She is a tall one! Her new Dr is really nice. Every visit til age 7 or 8 she will get a new book, so the Dr is pretty much going to be one of her favority places to visit. Now that she has teeth on both top and bottom she has discovered a new way to drive me crazy!! Grinding her teeth!! AH... I HATE it! My jaw gets all tight and then my head hurts~ like nails on a chalkboard. You can see in the pic below she has her jaw set to the side? Yeah, that means she is grinding away. Can not wait for this new trick to be o-v-e-r.

Ella is 1!!!!!!!!

This has simply been the fastest year of our lives. Every day we are amazed at Ella and how blessed we are to have this little girl in our lives. And today is her birthday!!!!!! She obviously has no idea what today is and what exactly mommy was going through one year ago right now. Whew... was that a long day!

Grand Forks is good. Not that we have been out of the house or anything yet. But we are running to town today to get some stuff (like a functioning doorbell) and take some birthday girl pictures. We think we are really going to like our house as we throw more boxes out the door. We are anticipating visitors!!! Guest bed is made and guest bathroom is ready!

Here are some pictures from the past couple days of the birthday girl!
Just enjoying a sippy cup and some light reading of the John Deere Annual Stockholder report.
Her birthday breakfast~

Check out those teeth!! We finally have more on the top row~

Made a little progress in ND..

From Wed to Saturday morning Jason and I did all the painting we could in waking hours. 7 rooms have been complete, primed or need just one more coat of paint. We will be glad when this is all done and things are settled. All 3 of us are ready for things to be a bit more normal.. won't be the normal we are used to.. but at least some kind of normal.

Here are a couple photos..

Our new address is:
1608 Drews Dr
Grand Forks, ND 58201

Ella, Judy and I are heading back to KC tomorrow to get that house packed up and shipped off. Jason is in Corpus Cristi, TX this week. All of us are heading back to the IA Breuer's on Friday. And then heading on up on Saturday to continue painting and major cleaning in ND. Our stuff will be delivered 9-12.... And we will be begin to close this relocation down!... finally.
