No more snow in ND!

We are more than happy to report there is no more snow left in our sight... from our windows at least. There are reports of snow coming north and south of us in the next day or so, but so far none called for here. We'll see~ it's pretty dang chilly here today.

We haven't been up to a whole lot around here.. hence the lack of postings.. but I thought I better get one up here before my "hate" email starts. ;-) Just kidding. It is actually nice to hear from people that they are checking in on us. We had a GREAT day here yesterday. Sun was out and the Enclave temp actually read 69!!! That is the warmest that gage has gotten since we bought him a few months ago! Ella and I met Lynn, Heide & Jack on the playground in town yesterday. It was sooooo nice just being outside! Ella LOVED the slide. I think she may have taken more interest in rock pebbles though. When I wasn't able to get her to not eat them anymore is when we decided it was time to head home. Ella didn't even make it out of town and she was OUT. Awesome day. We can't wait to have more of these.
I have made a couple batches of these when the sun has been out and been us so ready for when we can actually have a glass on our deck. mmmmmmmm. sun tea..mmmmmm

Have we mentioned how Ella loves to eat? Well, if not, here is a clear couple of pictures to illustrate just how much she loves her food. We had Jason's ravioli last Friday and she thought pretty highly of it... so much she decided to make a fashion statement with it. Her bib will never be the same.

Our VERY anticipated trip back to IL is coming the next week. I haven't been home in 6 whole months (this is a record for me) and I am so ready to just be at mom & dad's house. I plan on soaking up every single minute until Jason has to drag me out of the house. It will be a long trip but we hope to split up some of it by stopping at Grandma & Grandpa Breuer's, Uncle Darren & Aunt Jody's in Des Moines and then the final leg to Bushnell.

And yes.. new music. Took me long enough, huh?!?!

We're SKYPERS!

I took the plunge today. Officially became a member of the Skype world. I had an old computer video camera, but it just didn't do justice to Skype. Als, my old camera didn't hold a candle to the new cameras. I bought a new one and downloaded the program. Mom and Dad discovered Skype during their trip to Europe and they to.. hopefully by the close of the day... will be Skypers too! It will be fun to see the family in real live video vs. just voices on the phone. Let me know if any of you out there are on Skype! I have yet to use it, but I hope to VERY soon!! Here is a video of Ella and I tonight using the new camera. She thinks it is pretty fun to see a little kid on the computer.

What an Easter Weekend!!

It was awesome having Bambi, Brad, Bailey & Broc here this past weekend for Easter. We haven't seen them since Thanksgiving and we missed them so much. It was also great to finally have a weekend that we could do some grilling and sitting on the deck finally!! We are itching for this summer!!!
The boys did some "ground work" with the "equipment". This is Jason's current version of farming... and he LOVES the fact that he has toys to play with finally. The driveway has been in some serious need of work since the snow has been turning it into a muddy mess. Brad was our weighting to ensure proper ground engagement. After working the "ground", we ordered up a load of gravel and we can now drive into our garage without bringing in half the driveway with us. (Yes Dad, I know how proud you are of your two son-in-laws.) Thanks to Brad for teaching Jason to tape and texture the basement bathroom! We hope to have that complete here in the next few weeks!

Thanks to Bambi (otherwise I doubt this would have happened), Ella participated in her first Easter egg hunt. Ella caught on immediately! We were amazed how well she did. She loves putting items into containers, so this activity was right up here alley. She gathered up about 16 eggs and drug her basket around to all the eggs she could find! It was really fun! We got video, but have yet to take it to the editing room to post on here. Hope to get it up soon.

As you can see things are still pretty dead around here yet. No green really to speak of yet. I hope this is going to change quickly. We are supposed to get all the way up to 60 today!!! I don't know what I am going to do with myself having 60 degree weather!!!!!!!!! Don't worry... it will immediately drop off to 40's through the rest of the week and weekend. Just giving us a little taste and then ripping it away. Hateful mother nature.

Jason has his first night clinic this evening. And of course it is his furthest southeast dealer he has so he will be getting home late. No dinner with the girls. But at least his territory is manageable enough to make it home every night!!

In other news... Mom & Dad made it home yesterday from Anne Mette's wedding in Denmark. They had a great time and I can't wait to go home and see pictures and hear stories. I am so glad to have them home. The entire time they were gone I kept picking up the phone to call one of them and remembered I couldn't get a hold of them... it was terrible! I glad to have them only a phone call away again. Too bad we are still 12 hrs away. Boo.
